The source material is documentary footage of Chinese workers dismantling the Kaiserstuhl coking plant in Dortmund. Calm camera shots reveal a parallel world in the middle of the Ruhr Valley, while the part-Asian, part-European ensemble interprets the situations, both the foreign and the very familiar. Improvisations within this film-video installation, which consists of multiple projections, depict a moving image of the processes of the modern day and place the focus on the fundamental – human beings.
